AUDITIONS FOR THE GAME’S AFOOT or HOLMES FOR THE HOLIDAYS by Ken Ludwig
Performances dates are November 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24 and will take place at the historic Martin-Campeau House in Bozeman
William Gillette, an actor famous for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast-members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house turn dangerous. This glittering whodunit has murder, infidelity, wit, and surprises—something for everyone.
Auditions
When: Monday, September 23, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm and Tuesday, September 24, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

There are roles for 8 adults, 5 women and 3 men.
Character Descriptions:
• William Gillette – Male (40-60) – A dynamic and charming stage actor (based on a real man). Has made a fortune from his stage adaptation of Sherlock Holmes, whom he also plays. Must have great comic chops.
• Martha Gillette – Female (mid 70s) - Gillette’s dotty mother, elegant though a bit foggy, somewhat vague and dithering. Must have great comic chops.
• Felix Geisel – Male (40–60) Gillette’s best friend and occasional sidekick. Married to Madge. Must have great comic chops
• Madge Geisel – Female (early 40-60)– Wry and outspoken (think Rosalind Russell) Is game for anything, but back her into a corner and she will come out swinging. Must have great comic chops.
• Simon Bright – Male (about 25) – eager to please and find success. Simon can occasionally be overly sensitive.
• Aggie Wheeler – Female (about 25) – Recently married to Simon, they make a charming and wonderful couple. Actress needs to have a dark side.
• Inspector Goring – Female (35 or older)- English and eccentric, Always off the mark, she always gets her man, must have great comic chops. • Daria Chase – Female (40 or older) the theatre critic we all love to hate. Biting, snippy, and utterly charming, despite the terrible things she says and writes.
