Audition for
Looking for some fall fun? We've got you covered! Open Door and the Verge are thrilled to be collaborating on Six Acts of Laughs! Come audition for six different one-act plays on September 26th!
Auditions will be held at the Verge Theater located in the Emerson Center, 111 South Grand Avenue, Suite 107 C, on Saturday, September 26th, 10 am - 2 pm. Enter near sidewall and take a left, and The Verge is right down the hall.
Audition slots are 20 minutes each. 10 minutes to fill out an intake form for your information, availability, and schedule, followed by 10 mins to audition with the directors.

One Acts being performed:
Pearly Gates by Jack Neary: Two women who have competed for the same roles all
their lives end up in heaven together after being hit by a bus. In heaven, they meet an
old nemesis (another actress). Then the "director" of heaven comes in to have them all
"audition" to see where they will end up.
Metropolis Man by D. M. Larson: A gal named Lo is drawn to the city of Metropolis to
find true love. She meets Kent, but things don’t work out so well. Then along comes
Simon.
Please Have a Seat and Someone Will Be With You Shortly by Garth Wingfield: Two
strangers, in the quiet of a therapist’s waiting room, find themselves talking—and
discovering something about each other in the process.
The Naked Man on the Couch by Richard Davis Jr.: Three roommates can’t decide what
to do when they discover a naked man on their couch.
All I Want Is The Recipe by Georgia Tuxbury: A phone call between two women where
one just wants the other’s recipe for a chicken pasta dish, and the other one continues
to go off into tangents and refuses to just give her the recipe.
Stations One by Theresa Cardiello: A confused, angry woman learns she is dead, and is informed of stations she must go through to reach heaven.
