Dates for this Audition and Performance are subject to change.

A Christmas Memory

Auditions will be held via Zoom on October 27th and 28th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm for a reading of “A Christmas Memory”,                            a short story by Truman Capote.

This story describes a period in the lives of the seven-year-old narrator and an elderly woman who is his distant cousin and best friend.

Debbie Jamieson will direct  thIs reading.

We will need one male actor age 20-30,
and one female actor age 50-70.

We are hoping to perform this reading in a lovely Victorian home in Bozeman.  There will be required masks and social distancing.  We will also have limited seating to reduce exposure.  However, if we find that we cannot do the live readings due to COVID-19, we will post a Zoom event on our website.

Performance dates are:
December 4th & 5th at 7:00 pm and December 6th at 3:00 pm, and
December 11th & 12th at 7:00 pm and December 13th at 3:00 pm.

Rehearsals will begin November 3rd, twice a week up to the performances.  Dates and times will be scheduled around the actors’ and director’s availability.

For more information please contact opendoorbozeman@gmail.com.

  • Check the performance and rehearsal schedules before you audition to ensure you can participate. If you are aware you will have some conflicts with the rehearsal schedule, have those dates at the audition to discuss with the director.
  • Read the work you are auditioning for if you have access to it. At the very least discover what you can about it and the characters within it.
  • If an audition piece is provided or recommended, do your best to have it memorized.
  • Be prepared to invest some time with building the set, assembling costumes, distributing posters, or anything else required to make the production happen. Everyone is a volunteer.
