The Importance of Being Earnest
October 2018

Picture
By Oscar Wilde
Directed by Roerick Sweeney

The most famous of the British Parlor Comedies, The Importance of Being Earnest is the stunningly funny masterpiece by Oscar Wilde. Called A Trivial Comedy for Serious People, this play features a group of beautiful, compelling people who want nothing more than to escape the social archetypes of their time and place. Adapted (with dubious rigor) to be staged in Bozeman, Montana, this timeless play is directed by Roerick Sweeney, with set design by the incomparable Birdie Hall, and a live band consisting of the dazzlingly talented Caroline Janssen.
